If you are a citizen of one of the 26 countries participating in New Zealand Working Holiday Scheme (CLICK HERE to view the list of participating countries) you may be eligible for a Working Holiday Visa/Permit allowing you to work, study and travel in New Zealand for up to 12 months. There is no requirement to have a sponsor or a job offer from a NZ employer to be able to apply for this type of visa/permit. This is a great way to familiarize yourself with "kiwi" culture, improve your English and make some money to supplement your travels.

At Maverick we can offer training and support for young people on this program -

1) advice on visas and permits and assistance in applying for one if you haven't done so already
2) one week orientation program familiarizing you with Dunedin, Otago and New Zealand
3) English language training if you come from a non-English speaking country
4) advice and assistance in matters such as accommodation medical insurance, tax numbers, bank accounts
5) work, internship or volunteer placement (paid and non-paid)

Our basic WHV Program package includes:

- (if needed) 4 to 12 weeks of English language study (focusing on Business and Employment English)
- 1 or 2 weeks accommodation (on arrival to Dunedin) plus airport pick-up in Dunedin
- 1 week orientation program and welcome pack
- visa assistance and advice
- tax and bank information
- work, internship or volunteer placement and assistance for 3 to 6 months
